To say it was exciting walking across the stage and receiving my diploma is a huge understatement. I was ecstatic-thrilled, shocked, overwhelmed and so incredibly grateful! For a long time, I never saw myself achieving this monumental goal. During the Spring semester of my Junior year I made the decision to leave school and re-evaluate what I wanted to do. Returning in the Fall, I had new-found motivation to succeed and a desire to finish what I started. I set out creating my own path towards graduation. I was not going to follow the traditional “4-year plan.” Friends and family were supportive of my journey even though it meant spending an extra year working for my degree. Graduation was almost three months ago, but the joy and elation from that day are still present. I worked hard to achieve my goal and am proud to be a college graduate!
